Der Münchner Bariton Johannes Eder setzt aktuell sein Studium im Master an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München bei Prof. Andreas Schmidt fort. Zuvor studierte er im Bachelor bei Daniela Sindram (HMTM) sowie Peter Edelmann (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien).

Auf der Opernbühne war er bereits als Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni, Musiktheater im Reaktor, 2025), Graf Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro, Kammeroper München im Cuvilliès-Theater, 2025), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte, Stadttheater Bad Hall, 2024) und Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas, HMTM, 2024) zu erleben. Zudem wirkte er als Bariton-Solist in der Uraufführung von VOCI (Chin-Hsien Chung) am Staatstheater Kassel mit.

Darüber hinaus widmet er sich intensiv dem Konzert und Liedgesang: Er sang das Orffs Carmina Burana Solo mit dem Cairo Symphony Orchestra, Bachs Johannespassion (als Jesus und Pilatus), Faurés Requiem sowie Liederabende mit Beethovens An die ferne Geliebte und Schumanns Liederkreis op. 39.

Er war Preisträger beim Aria d’Oro Wettbewerb Meran 2025, Finalist beim Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin 2020 und Stipendiat der Mozartakademie Linz.

The German baritone Johannes Eder will begin his Master’s studies in Voice at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Andreas Schmidt in autumn 2025, after completing his Bachelor studies with Daniela Sindram (HMTM) and Peter Edelmann (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna).

On the opera stage, he has already appeared as Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni, Musiktheater im Reaktor, 2025), Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro, Kammeroper München at the Cuvilliés-Theater, 2025), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte, Stadttheater Bad Hall, 2024), Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas, HMTM, 2024) and Dr. Falke (Die Fledermaus, MdW Vienna). He also performed as the baritone soloist in the world premiere of VOCI by Chin-Hsien Chung at the Staatstheater Kassel.

In addition, he is deeply engaged in concert and Lied repertoire. He has sung Bach’s St John Passion (as Jesus and Pilate), Fauré’s Requiem, and given song recitals featuring Beethoven’s An die ferne Geliebte and Schumann’s Liederkreis Op. 39.

He was a finalist at the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin 2020 and is a scholarship holder of the Mozartakademie Linz and a prize winner at the Aria d’oro Competition Meran 2025.
